Are you trying to get your music onto blogs? Hip Hop blogs, Rock blogs, country music blogs. I have a few rules and ideas for you.
1.Don’t Spam the sites with Emails. They hate this, and that is if they even open it up.
2. Don’t Spam them on twitter. It’s annoying.
3. Build up your own fan base in your home market. Yes, that means get up off your ass and start working the streets, the DJs, and everyone else in your local market!
4. Hire a publicist to help you! This is a great key, hire somebody who is already getting music on the blogs for other artists.
Who should you hire?
Well it depends on your budget, what type of music you have, where you want it posted, etc.
A few names for my hip hop artists, Michael Bentley with Spin Doctor, Karen Civil (prices went up with Beats by dre though), Arie Goode, Justin Melo.
But do some google research on your own!
Lastly, don’t put too much into the blogs, they won’t make or break you, get a street team together and go after it!
